The OpenGL 4.1 limitation is known for MacOs. The AMD Radeon Pro 580 Graphics is definitely compatible with Enscape given it is run with the correct driver. Can you please confirm that Enscape will be able to operate on the Mac with the latest hardware specs before we purchase? The technical specs advise that you require Open GL 4.2. We understand that the new Mac machines graphic cards are compatible to run Enscape via Bootcamp, however our IT contractor has advised that the supplied AMD Radeon Pro 580 Graphics card with 8GB of Video Memory only has a Open GL 4.1 driver available. But give it a try and make sure to back- up everything before you try. Please notice that it worked for my setup, so this doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you. Thanks for the input Jonathan and i hope anyone else who needs to run Enscape on their iMac might be able to succeed. But sketchup gave me an error.Īfter some searching I decided to update the driver of the display and everything worked. Once i got into Windows I downloaded Sketchup 2017 and Enscape. You will need some space on your hard drive to partition it and install Windows. Run Bootcamp on you Mac and follow the steps. You can download the correct ISO from the Microsoft site. Have a working windows 10 (or 7/8 might also work) product key and ISO file.Bootcamp seems stable but don't say i didn't warn you. I didn't ran into any problems, but you never know. So do some research on your graphics card. (They even suggest 4.2) The list on the apple website says 4.1 but on the Nvidia website they speak of 4.2. I haven't tested out other devices with older openGL support but I assume 4.x is wanted since it's specified by Enscape. Make sure your Mac/iMac/Macbook has a Nvidia Graphics card that supports OpenGL 4.xįull list of Apple devices with their respective graphics cards:.Here are roughly the steps I followed, (If anyone else wants to give it a try). Thanks for the input and I'm glad to say I succeeded.
